Burrinja circus festival
CLIENT : Ruccis Circus School and Burrinja Cultural Centre
Dislocate instigated and co-ordinated a large collaboration with Ruccis Circus School and Burrinja Cultural Centre to create an annual circus festival. This major collaboration has provided huge inspiration for Ruccis’s students. Dislocate created a fabulous melting pot where senior students, recently graduated emerging artists, and established professionals could work and perform alongside each other. Dislocate provided a platform for Ruccis’ young artists to learn about the industry, teaching practical, management and performance skills.
The festival has also been hugely successful in introducing the local community to the incredible breadth of Australian circus arts. To date the festival has been running for 8 years and has become a much anticipated part of the local community calendar!
